So this year we made the trek to
Las Vegas for Thanksgiving. It is a long drive of 9 hours total driving. By the end of it we all were done (I must be getting old but 22 weeks pregnant in a car for that long is not so comfortable). It was so awesome to spend time with family. My sister Stephanie was able to make it from Costa Rica. Since she lives so far away it is so awesome when we get to spend a little time. Dinner was pretty awesome. My sister has some mad culinary skills that involve lots of garlic & rosemary. Yum. For Thanksgiving dinner I went off my diet (not crazy but did get to have a little of everything). It was pretty awesome. On Black Friday my sister & I went shopping at one of my favorite stores in Vegas, Goodwill. Love that place. Then my mom joined us for a fun day of girl shopping. Casey & Spencer (my
step dad) stayed & watched the kids all day (taking them to the park). They also played a lot of games & watched movies so Casey was happy for the
laid back day.

It was a really much needed break & I really enjoyed it. The kids really miss not living next to Grandpa Spencer & Grandma Mary Ann (my mom &
stepdad) so this was some much needed time. Marshall quote, "The next time we move lets move back to Las Vegas next door to grandpa & grandma" Too cute.

On Friday night my mom likes to have the kids decorate gingerbread house & train each year so she helped Marshall make the house. Aunt Stephanie helped Paris & Faith make the train (though Faith just wanted to eat the candy.)
On Saturday we went to Viva
Zapatas for lunch. One of the best authentic Mexicans places ever. After we were able to spend some time with some of our best friends, Ken & Amy. We hung out for a little while with the kids then my mom was nice enough to babysit & we went on a double date to Austin's Steakhouse (our FAVORITE steak place). It brought back all the great memories of past years. We sure do miss them.
