Marshall was so excited for his birthday. The day before he kept telling me he couldn't wait for bedtime. Why? Because then it would be his birthday. For breakfast we had waffles & eggs. Marshall helped me make green cupcakes, green frosting, skeleton cupcake toppers, and glittery black & orange gel. Then we met 2 of his friends (Conner & Eli) at McDonald's to get a Happy Meal & play on the toys. (It was freezing in the play area.) Off we went to preschool where Marshall shared a cupcake with all his classmates for snack (he wanted a halloween theme ~ so scary) & gave each kid a toy & candy bag (scary eye glasses, sticky skeletons, bubbles, and spider rings). The all drew a picture for him & sang happy birthday with a lighted candle.
While waiting for Casey to get home the kids finished decorating the birthday cupcakes. They all had a blast making a huge mess. For dinner we had pancakes, bacon, & eggs. Marshall used the glitter gel (frosting) instead of syrup. I figured hey it's his birthday, plus it probably has the same amount of sugar as syrup anyway. Then we opened presents, sang, "Happy Birthday, ate cupcakes & ice cream sandwiches. He had a wonderful day!
