She is such a sweet happy baby. She LOVES to nurse and be held.
So we have been asked why we chose the name Seraphina Hope. Basically we liked the way it sounded & the meaning. We believe in giving the name that a person will go by for their given name ~ no nicknames for every day. So we (and will ask that everyone else) call her Seraphina since that is her name. We have been asked if we plan on calling her Sara, etc... so to all inquiring minds the answer is NO.
Seraphina meaning ~ Feminine form of the Late Latin name Seraphinus, derived from the biblical word seraphim
which was Hebrew in origin and meant "fiery ones". The seraphim were an
order of angels, described by Isaiah in the Bible as having six wings
each and are known for their zealous love. . In Jewish scriptures, the seraphim are the highest-ranking angels of God (above angels, archangels, cherubim, etc.).
Hope meaning ~ Derived from the vocabulary word hope which is derived from the Old English hopa (expectation, hope, wish.) the feeling that what is wanted can be had or that events will turn out for the best:
