Life with a Newborn

Everyone always says that you get baby amnesia about delivering a baby but I think that you also forget how it is to have a newborn. Seraphina is such a sweet baby & such a snuggler. She would never cry if I just could sit around and nurse & snuggle with her non stop. She hates sleeping in her cradle (or anywhere but on mommy). This has led to some amazing tender moments but a very sleepy mommy. She hates her car seat & screams if she has to get in it.

Our friends have been so helpful. We have had so many people check in on us, bring us dinner, help with carpool, and have the kids over to play. It is so great to feel support even though we have lived her such a short time. We are very blessed for the great people we have gotten to know.

There has been quite a bit of sickness going around Rock Springs so we are keeping Seraphina inside and away from the germs. So far so good but it is leading to me feeling pretty secluded. I would much rather keep her healthy so that is the plan. I feel so blessed that after everything that we have gone through in the last 2 years for the relatively smooth sailing. It is funny how life has a way of humbling us & showing us how we should be grateful for everything we have, especially the small things.
